Curiosity's Flawed Drill May Threaten Mission
NASA's Mars rover Curiosity is planning to drill a rock in Yellowknife Bay soon, but a flaw may cause the rover to get an electrical short, causing the power to fail. This problem was discovered a few months before the rover's launch, so the engineers put a quick, but not good fix. NASA says the rover should be okay throughout the two-year mission, and maybe decades if all goes well.
