Earth is the third planet from the sun. It is also the fifth largest planet in the solar system, and the largest of the terrestrial planets. Earth is the only planet that can support life. It's liquid water, which covers three-fourths of the planet, sustains life on the planet. This is why Earth is called the Blue Marble. t's atmosphere protects life from the Sun's harmful rays. And to top it off, it's in the perfect spot from the sun, with tempatures of -136 degrees Fahrenheit to 136 degrees fahrenheit.
